Culum Walsh, Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Bilingual Academic Life Coach
Culum Walsh grew up in Denver, Colorado; currently, he lives with his wife and two children in Thornton, Colorado.
Culum Walsh is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a Bilingual Academic Life Coach; above all, he brings a worldly depth and scope to the life coaching field.

Interestingly, during his extended sojourns in Spain, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica, he expanded his view of the human experience, and heightened his cultural sensitivity.

As result, his mission as a bilingual academic life coach is that middle school students all over the world, including TCK's and CCK's, feel happy and comfortable with themselves.

Before he was a coach, he was a teacher for 21 years. In fact, he taught Spanish and English as first and second languages to 6th through 12th graders, in Colorado's public and private schools.

At the same time, he immersed himself in transformational work, life skills, and leadership training. Also, he coached hundreds of people individually and in large group seminars.

Subsequently, he brought coaching tools to his 7th Grade Advisees. As a result, his students started developing new life skills.

Fortunately, they started producing results in areas where they were previously stuck. For example, they improved their study habits, organization, participation in class, communication, relationships with parents, and extracurricular activities.

Eventually, he retired from teaching in 2015, and he started a new career as a Bilingual Academic Life Coach, coaching in Spanish and English.

Then, in January of 2017, he founded Human By Human, Coaching for Life, specializing in common problems for middle school students all over the world; for instance:

  • disorganization
  • lack of motivation
  • procrastination
  • managing unwanted feelings
  • stress about grades
  • anxiety about the future
  • low self-confidence
  • poor study habits
  • frustration in relationships.
  • challenges living abroad
  • struggles with second language acquisition
Recently, from October of 2017 to April of 2019, he was a coach-trainer of academic life coaches with Coach Training EDU.

Blog for Middle School Students and Parents

Overall, my posts are intended to be useful for middle school students and their parents.

While I was a middle school teacher and advisor, I became fully aware that the middle years are super challenging.

Recently, I composed 10 blog posts with a common theme: Happiness, the Competitive Edge in School.

First, post #1 is a general overview of the 7 Principles of Happiness, according to Shawn Achor's best-selling book, The Happiness Advantage.

Subsequently, each following post explores one principle individually, which gives students and parents valuable tips for school and life.

Please feel free to comment on my posts and/or contact me directly via email or phone.

Most of all, I love talking to parents about their children. So, my goal as an academic life coach is for middle school students to realize their own greatness in school and life.

I look forward to hearing from you!
